"I took the opportunity to share Great Detective! with Matthew, one of my nephews, and his mother, my sister Meredith. Matthew is 8 and about to go into 3rd grade, but he's reading at a 5th grade level. Meredith teaches 6th grade and has a passion for reading, which she's passed on to both of her sons. Once we read our first adventure, Matthew was eager to return again and again and to take different paths, which we did with careful attention and pleasure.
